TOPDRY Container Desiccant for Package Materials Against Moisture Damage

A container is a closed system with its own unique climate systeminside. It differs from the warehouse in that the variation in temperature is much greater. It is not unusual to have containers where temperatures range from freezing to over 50 Celsius (122 Fahrenheit) during the course of a single voyage.

The central fact is that warm air can hold more moisture than cold air. That means that if warm air is cooled, it becomes more humid. And if it is cooled enough, some of the moisture may rain out and condense. That is exactly the same phenomenon that cause dew in grass or fog on a cool day.

That container rain will drip down on the package materials and cause damage. Mould will grow, labels will peel and corrugated boxes will start to soften. At other times, the condensation happens on the inside of package, like inside the pallet shrink wrap film.

High moisture absorption with not liquid water
TOPDRY container desiccant is based on the proven ability of calcium chloride to aggressively remove moisture from the air. The absorbed water is bound into a gel so no liquid water is formed. And the special system of double packing, all of these will prevent leakage.

Easy to use.
The TOPDRY container desiccant is easy to use and designed to occupy minimal container space with full functionality. It can hang within he corrugated recess of container side panels or horizontally above the cargo.

Typical applications
The TOPDRY container desiccant can be used for any type of cargo that only needs 25mm between the cargo and the TOPDRY desiccant. It works particularly well in tightly loaded container.
